At HC Tennis Coaching, we pride ourselves on being able to cater for any age or skill level. We have five coaches, enabling us to offer a range of classes and programs. Having said that, a lot of our time is spent teaching younger children or developing teenagers for more competitive matches. We’ve worked with some of our players for a number of years, so it’s great to see them continually improve and sometimes win tournaments. It’s not all about winning matches though – we believe that the development of skills is rewarding enough!
Absolutely! First of all, enjoy yourself. People get involved in tennis because it’s a fun sport that’s really accessible. Take your time – learning a new sport is a process so don’t worry if your backhand isn’t as strong as your forehand, it’s only natural. As with most things in life, the more you put into it, the more you’ll get out of it. The great thing about tennis is that you only need one other person to play. In the UK there are loads of public courts that you can book as well!
There are four different types of tennis courts: hard, grass, clay and carpet. However, the big tournaments that you see on TV are only played on hard courts, grass courts or clay courts. The majority of our lessons are on either hard court or carpet courts as these are widely available. If you do want to practise on a specific type of court, then let us know and we can organise this for you.

Very professional and good to work with, Sami really knows his stuff. I can tell even from a first lesson that he has a ton of experience in tennis and a deep understanding of the game. Very quick on picking up on technique and style and identifying areas to improve. Also very patient with me and my lack of fitness!

I've only had two lessons with Sami, but so far, I must say they've been incredibly fun. He incorporates a variety of exercises that not only helps to practice the precise movements required to make a great shot but also to improve one's technique. I can say in terms of technique I have definitely learnt more from him than from the past coaches I've tried. He is also incredibly patient and friendly, so if you're seeking a challenge or if you want to improve your tennis skills, I would 100% recommend Sami!
