Kickstart a healthier lifestyle

The food we eat plays an enormous part in our health and wellbeing. It’s a core part of leading a healthier life. Nutritionists are experts in helping you make practical steps towards improving your nutrition. They can create a structured meal plan to help you stay on track to becoming a healthier you. It’s not just recipes though. They can offer expert tips and tricks to keep you on the straight and narrow.

Nutritional support

Harness the power of nutrition to achieve your sporting goals. You might be training for a marathon, or looking to increase lean muscle mass. Whatever your needs are, a sports nutritionist can help you stay fuelled for every workout and recovery.

Tailored to you

If you suffer from allergies or have special dietary requirements, a professional can ensure that you get your vital nutrients. If you have a medical condition, such as Crohn’s Disease, a registered dietician can assess your condition and provide specific advice. With their expertise, you’ll be able to create exciting meal plans that help manage your medical condition.

What’s the difference between a dietitian and a nutritionist?

Registered dietitians are qualified to assess, diagnose and treat dietary problems or nutritional needs. They also tend to help clients with special dietary requirements or medical conditions. To be a dietitian, you’ve got to be registered with the Health and Care Professionals Council (HCPC). Many dietitians work within the NHS as opposed to privately, although you can still find private dietitians to help advise you on your eating habits. Whereas nutritionists are more likely to be the ones advising on weight loss or sport nutrition. Nutritionists can be registered with the UK Voluntary Register of Nutritionists (UKVRN), but they don't have to be.

What qualifications do you need to be a nutritionist?

To become qualified as a nutritionist, I had to complete a course run by the UKVRN. After completing the course, I became qualified as a registered nutritionist. This means that all my clients can check my qualifications and experience online. Clients can therefore be confident in my abilities, as they know that I'm qualified under a trustworthy organisation.

What’s the most common reason why clients come to you?

Weight loss is the most common reason that new clients come to me. They often find it difficult to know how to get the right nutrients into their diets without feeling hungry or unsatisfied. But over the last few years, I’ve had more and more people coming to me with IBS-related issues. I think that's because more people are recognising the symptoms of IBS and are getting diagnosed. They then come to nutritionists or dietitians for guidance on how to alter their eating habits to help relieve their symptoms.

I was looking for a local Personal Trainer who could come to my house during a tight window of time to help me achieve my weight loss goals. I discovered Embody Healthly after some online research and am So grateful!! Emily is absolutely amazing! I had some lower back pain due to sitting at a desk and thanks to her floor routine I was able to strengthen my core. In just a few days, my lower back pain was gone! In addition, after two months of personal training, I lost several inches and gained my confidence back! I can’t say enough about Emily, she is more than just a trainer, she is one of the kindest people I’ve met! She’s thoughtful, professional, always on time, flexible, and highly skilled. I highly recommend her!

Framework 4 Health came highly recommended to me and I couldn't be happier. Trevor really knows how to get you feeling better in no time. I injured my lower back and he got me to the point where I could move without severe pain. He understands the complexities of the human body and gives you the exercises that best work for you. He is easy to work with, offering video calls when needed and flexible with times to meet.
